Red Chris mine began operations in 2015, and has since implemented initiatives to support skills development and advanced education. Given the scale of development projected for the northwest region, Red Chris is working with government, the Tahltan communities, industry, educational and training institutions to establish training programs. With over half of our workforce residing in northern British Columbia, the delivery of programs is focused on being accessible for northern residents and/or facilitating transportation requirements as may be needed.
