Brian was appointed President in 2003. He has been involved in exploration, permitting, development, commissioning, operation and reclamation of numerous mines and mineral properties including Red Chris, Mount Polley, Huckleberry, Sterling, Nickel Plate, Goldstream and Castle Mountain mines. In 1995, as President of Bethlehem Resources Corporation, Brian negotiated the merger between Imperial and Bethlehem. As Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, he brought a strong technical discipline in planning, design and execution of projects to the Imperial team. He was awarded the E.A. Scholz Medal (2007) for outstanding contribution to the development and sustainability of mines in British Columbia. Brian is a Civil Engineer (B.Ap.Sc. UBC) and a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of BC and the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
Andre has extensive experience encompassing all aspects of debt and equity mining finance, taxation and financial reporting ranging from grassroots exploration to mine development and production.
Don had been involved with the Mount Polley mine development and operating team from 1996-2001, and returned to join the Imperial team in 2005 as VP Operations. Don was President and General Manager for Tercon Enterprises, Fort McMurray, and also held senior mine operating positions with Homestake Mining Company and Westar Mining.
‘Lyn joined Imperial in September 2014 as Chief Scientific Officer, and was appointed Vice President Environmental Affairs in April 2017. Her extensive experience in geoscience research and engagement with the public will guide research activities and studies of the impact of the tailings breach at the Mount Polley mine. ‘Lyn was the inaugural President and CEO of Geoscience BC responsible for providing overall leadership and conducting applied geoscience work to attract exploration and development investment to British Columbia. ‘Lyn has held various positions with the federal government, including Associate Director of the Pacific Division of the Geological Survey of Canada in Natural Resources Canada.
Sophie joined Imperial in 2014 as Corporate Legal Counsel, and was appointed General Counsel in March 2015 and Vice President Risk in March 2017. She was called to the bar in Ontario in 2002, and in Alberta and British Columbia in 2006. Sophie has worked for leading international law firms in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver. She is also a member of the Advisory Council for the British Columbia Centre of Training Excellence in Mining.
Darb Dhillon was appointed VP Finance of Imperial Metals in
April 2017. Before joining Imperial Metals, Darb was Director of Finance at
Newmarket Gold Inc. until it was acquired by Kirkland Lake Gold in December
2016. Darb is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over 10 years of
financial planning and strategy, treasury, accounting and M&A analysis
experience. Prior to joining Newmarket Gold, he held finance and accounting
roles with Jemi Fibre, SNC Lavalin, Exeter Resources and
PricewaterhouseCoopers. Darb received his Masters of Professional Accounting
from the University of Saskatchewan and his Bachelor of Commerce from the
University of Victoria.
Steve was appointed VP Corporate Affairs in 2013. His responsibilities encompass liaison with government, aboriginal affairs, community relations and corporate communications. Steve joined Imperial in 1995 with the merger of Imperial and Bethlehem. He was the Exploration Manager responsible for the exploration programs at the Red Chris, Mount Polley, Silvertip and Giant Copper projects.
Gordon joined Imperial with the merger of Selkirk Metals in 2009. For over 40 years his career has focused on corporate, financial and operational management of junior listed resource based companies.
